Queste due immagini qui sopra sono spettacolari e mostrano la supernova 2011dh nella Galassia M51. L’immagine ci è stata messa a disposizione dal Dottor Gianluca Masi del Virtual Telescope (http://www.virtualtelescope.eu ) e mostra la galassia prima (a sinistra) e dopo (a destra) l’esplosione della supernova.
Il PlaneWave 17″, il Paramount ME e l’ SBIG STL-6303 sono stati utilizzati per ottenere le due immagini. In alta risoluzione, queste due foto sono disponibili su:
